Everyone has a voice
Every participant builds and shares the story of their model. This means the workshop draws on more than just the perspectives of the most vocal people in the room.
Strategic B2B workshops using the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method. We help companies see complex business challenges from a fresh perspective, uncover the knowledge within their teams and turn it into shared insights, decisions and directions for action.
The more complex the problem, the harder it is to capture in a presentation or spreadsheet. Not everyone speaks equally, not everything can be put into words straight away, and many valuable perspectives never enter the conversation.
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®
Bricks are a tool for thinking, rather than an end in themselves.
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a structured facilitation method that uses model building, metaphors and storytelling to work on real business problems.
The facilitator designs the process, asks questions and guides participants through each stage, without providing ready-made answers.
Participants build models, share their meaning, explore different perspectives and develop a shared picture of the situation.
Bricks bring abstract problems out of people's heads and onto the table. And when everyone can see the same thing, it becomes easier to discuss what really matters.
Every participant builds and shares the story of their model. This means the workshop draws on more than just the perspectives of the most vocal people in the room.
A strategy, problem, customer experience, relationship or barrier can be built and literally seen on the table. Abstract ideas take a tangible form.
Building helps us move beyond initial answers and familiar patterns. A model reveals elements and connections that we might miss in a regular conversation.
We discuss what has been built and the meaning its builder gives it, without judging people or their ideas. This creates a safer space to explore different perspectives.
Individual models and viewpoints form the basis of a shared picture of the situation. Everyone does not need to think alike from the start. What matters is seeing what others see.
The workshop goes beyond building. Models lead to conversation, conversation to insights, and insights to decisions, priorities, Simple Guiding Principles and KPIs.
You do not need to know which workshop you need. Start with the problem.
Before we find answers, we need to see the problem clearly. Then we can start working on it.
Let's talk →LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® can work alongside proven strategic tools. It can change how we use them. We use the method to work with tools such as:
We begin by building how participants understand the business, its customers, value, resources and connections. We then translate this shared understanding into the Business Model Canvas.
We look at value through the customer's eyes. We build their needs, problems, expectations and experiences, then compare them with the value the organisation offers.
We use models to uncover strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats and the connections between them. We then translate these insights into a structured SWOT, going beyond another list of four categories on a flipchart.
A strategy without a way to measure it remains a statement of intent. We can translate workshop outcomes into specific goals and KPIs that help assess whether the chosen direction is working.
A signature USE BRICKS format designed especially for marketing teams working on digital strategy and growth.
Shows that something is not working.
Shows why, and what to do about it.
Together, we identify where:
Where does the message stop attracting the right audience?
At which stage do people drop off, and why?
Where does the promise diverge from what the customer really wants?
Which channels work in isolation when they should support one another?
What actually blocks the decision at the final stage?
Where could a small change have the greatest impact?
Then we translate the shared model into priorities, directions for action and KPI
Business strategy, vision, business model, priorities, Business Model Canvas, SWOT, Simple Guiding Principles and KPIs.
Marketing and digital strategy, marketing funnel, channels, barriers to growth, priorities and KPIs.
Customer Journey, Value Proposition Canvas, customer needs, touchpoints, experience and opportunities to improve it.
Sales process, barriers, buying experience, customer perspective and collaboration between marketing and sales.
We design every workshop around a specific challenge. We do not arrive with a ready-made agenda simply because it worked for another organisation.
We discuss your business, situation, participants and the outcome you need.
We define the workshop goal and prepare the agenda, questions and appropriate LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® materials.
We come to you.
Participants build models, tell their stories, ask questions and explore different perspectives.
We connect individual perspectives and look for relationships, common ground and a shared direction.
We define insights, priorities, Simple Guiding Principles and KPIs.
After the workshop, we provide a report summarising the outcomes.
4–8 hours of focused work on a real challenge.
We work with teams of at least 4 people, with a maximum of 20 participants per facilitator. We add facilitators for larger teams.
The agenda, number of facilitators and materials are tailored to the goal and group size.
Bricks can be an engaging way to network, build connections or work on an individual challenge at a conference, event or company gathering.
Participants build a model of a challenge they are facing. Giving it a physical form helps them see the problem from a new perspective, name its key elements and notice connections that may previously have remained hidden.
Instead of the usual small talk, participants build models showing what brings them to the event and what they hope to take away.
We will match the format to your challenge and team size.
